Retraction: Louisiana Senator Gary Smith
On May 12, 2020 (updated and rereleased on July 28, 2020), the American Legislative Exchange Council published a legislator letter opposing a federal bailout of states entitled “State Leaders Say ‘No Thanks’ to a Federal Bailout”. The initial letter release erroneously included Louisiana Senator Gary Smith as a letter signer. His name was removed in subsequent updates, and this statement has been published for clarity.
