Sen. Michael Lamoureux Awarded Legislator of the Year by the American Legislative Exchange Council

Dallas, Texas (July 31, 2014)—Senator Michael Lamoureux of Arkansas received the Legislator of the Year Award today from the American Legislative Exchange Council at the organization’s 41st Annual Meeting in Dallas, Texas. Sen. Lamoureux, who sits on the ALEC Board of Directors, received the award for his outstanding leadership within the organization. ALEC members are recognized with this award for their leadership in advancing the Jeffersonian principles of limited government, free markets and federalism.

“Arkansas has greatly benefited from policies based on the principles of limited government, free markets and federalism, and I am honored to be recognized by ALEC in helping to advance these principles,” said Sen. Lamoureux.

Sen. Lamoureux currently serves as President Pro Tempore of the Arkansas State Senate and is an active member of the ALEC Task Force on Energy, Environment and Agriculture.
