“I am honored to be recognized by ALEC as a Legislator of the Year,” said Rep. Ivory. “Limited government, free markets and federalism principles are something I wholly believe in, and my work in Utah reflects those beliefs. I look forward to continuing my participation with ALEC as we work to solve the issues facing states.”

Rep. Ivory was elected to the Utah House of Representatives in 2010. He currently serves as the vice chair of the Government Operations Legislative Committee, and is a member of several other legislative committees. In addition to serving as the Utah public sector co-chair, Rep. Ivory is an active member of the ALEC Task Force on International Relations and Federalism.

“ALEC wants recognize Representative Ivory for his noteworthy work and commitment to ALEC principles,” said Iowa Majority Leader Linda Upmeyer, ALEC National Chair. “In addition to his work on federalism and public lands issues, Financial Ready Utah, Rep. Ivory’s fiscal crisis preparedness program, is a model ALEC members adopted as an example of strong state financial policy.”
