Gwendolyn Hodge serves as the Events Manager at ALEC. In this role, she gets the opportunity to produce annual events for the ALEC community, helping to coordinate meeting registration, rooming blocks and exhibitors. Gwen also assists with smaller regional events and enjoys working with the different task forces and policy initiatives to further promote limited government, free markets and federalism. Gwen loves all things logistics and is more than happy to answer any meeting related questions you might have so that she can make sure that your time at an ALEC event is both valuable and productive.
Prior to her role at ALEC, Gwen worked as an Events Associate at The Seminar Network, a non-profit that works to unite the nation’s top business and philanthropic leaders. Gwen has also had the chance to work and intern for a variety of institutions including the Supreme Court of the United States, DCI Group, and AIPAC. In fact, one of Gwen’s first internships was for the Membership and Events teams at ALEC back in 2015 through the Koch Internship Program.
Gwen is a DMV native, having grown up in Annapolis, Maryland. She took a brief break from city life to attend Hillsdale College in rural Michigan where she studied Politics and Theater. But, she couldn’t stay away for long and returned to DC in the spring of 2017. In her spare time, Gwen can be found searching for the best local brunch deals, petting every dog she passes, and debating what true statesmanship looks like in modern day society.
