Giovanni Triana

Manager, Development

Giovanni Triana is the Development Manager at the American Legislative Exchange Council where he is responsible for managing the foundation and individual donor programs. He is a first-generation immigrant from Mexico—immigrating to the United States in 1999 when he was five years old to escape poverty. He grew up in Charlotte, North Carolina where he played soccer, tennis and wrestled. Gio graduated from East Carolina University (ECU) in 2018, where he received a B.A. in Political Science with a minor in Mathematics.

While enrolled at ECU, Giovanni served as the Community Outreach Director and Chief of Staff for the Student Government Association and sat on the Student Conduct Board. In addition, he founded the NRA Collegiate Coalition and served as the President of Turning Point USA – providing free concealed carry classes to over 65 students and spearheading efforts to abolish restrictive speech zones at ECU, and eventually every public university in NC.

During his free time, Gio enjoys traveling the East Coast in his off-road Tacoma, playing sand volleyball and working on his golf swing!
