Dan serves as the Coordinator of Public Affairs at the American Legislative Exchange Council. In this role he is the staff writer and editor for speeches, press releases, publications, articles and op-eds. He also develops letters for targeted audiences, and manages the promotion, media outreach and response initiatives. He manages the vendor design, print and mailing productions.
Before joining ALEC, he worked on political campaigns in his home state of Michigan. Previously, he worked at the non-profit TechFreedom, where he was a consultant on communication strategies and produced their podcast. These experiences provided him with a serious interest in the political process and a deep passion for the way innovation makes individuals’ lives better. A graduate of Hillsdale College, he majored in Political Economy and minored in Rhetoric and Public Address.
He currently resides in the downtown DC area. When not debating obscure political topics and theories, you can find him listening to Jazz or Classical, or on his porch grilling with his tried-and-true Weber grill.
