Biography

Ashley Pratte is the Director of Media and Public Affairs for ALEC. Ashley brings to ALEC both public policy and legislative knowledge as well as networking and communications experience. Previously she served as the Director of Media Relations and consultant for Better For America. Prior to consulting for Better For America she was a Senior Political Reporter at LifeZette covering the 2016 presidential election and before that was the Vice President of Communications at FP1 Strategies. 

 

She previously served as spokeswoman for Young America’s Foundation (YAF) the largest youth conservative organization in the country. Prior to working for YAF, Ashley served as executive director for Cornerstone Policy Research & Cornerstone Action, a prominent political action group in New Hampshire. Before her work at Cornerstone, Ashley served as project director and press assistant, and interim communications director to Congressman Frank Guinta (R-NH). She also worked on his congressional campaign in 2010.

 

Ashley has made frequent appearances on The O’Reilly Factor, Hannity, CNN Newsroom, Fox & Friends, Varney & Co., Your World and America’s Newsroom. She is also a weekly contributor to U.S. News & World Report, and has been published in The Washington Times, Washington Examiner, National Review and The Hill. She was named as one of Red Alert Politics’ 30 Under 30 in 2014 for her extensive work in media relations and the field of communications. 

 

Ashley now resides in the Washington, D.C. area but is proud to call New Hampshire home. She describes herself as an avid Patriots fan, loves cowboy boots and country music, and is always in search of the perfect buffalo wings.
