Accounts Receivable Associate
The American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC), the nation’s largest nonpartisan, voluntary membership association of state legislators, seeks an Accounts Receivable Associate.
The Accounts Receivable Associate will provide financial and administrative support by ensuring company receipts are properly recorded and resolve any discrepancies according to established policies and procedures. The Associate will prepare, verify and process daily reports, engage with organizational donors and help collect on any outstanding receivables.
The Associate will work in partnership with the Senior Accountant and the Chief Financial Officer.
The Accounts Receivable Associate must be an innovative problem-solver who will own and execute projects with high quality work product under tight deadlines. (S)he should have superb organizational and interpersonal skills and the ability to prioritize demands. All candidates must demonstrate a strong commitment to the ALEC mission of promoting the Jeffersonian principles of limited government, free markets and federalism.
The ideal candidate will be detail oriented, enjoy working with data, have strong written and oral communication abilities. Experience in finance or account collection is preferred, but not required. Specific experience with donor databases, i.e. SalesForce is a plus.
Educational Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree
Some travel is required (~10%)
