The ALEC 47th Annual Meeting Goes Virtual!
After much consideration, the ALEC Board of Directors and management team have made the decision to take the July 15-17 ALEC Annual Meeting virtual. A positive member experience is always our primary focus in offering counsel and training or in executing a meeting. Because of recent developments in Florida as well as an increasing number of states requiring two-week quarantines for people traveling back from Florida, we believe it prudent to shift the Annual Meeting to an all-digital event.
In the coming days we will release a complete agenda, but rest assured you will still be able to hear from national policy leaders on the most pressing issues and participate in the same high-quality task force meetings, workshops and training. The ALEC team is prepared to offer you an unparalleled digital experience from the comfort of your home or office.
Subcommittee meeting will still be hosted this week, July 8 – 10. General sessions and Task Force meetings will take place as planned from July 15-17 with workshops, caucus meetings and training sessions taking place from July 21 – 23. The goal of the extended digital engagement will be to give you as much access to as many sessions as possible while being respectful of your time. Regarding your meeting registration, we encourage you to convert your registration to the virtual platform at a discounted rate ($350 for Legislators and $550 for private sector participants). For those unable to attend virtually, you may roll your registration to the States & Nation Policy Summit or request a full refund by contacting Gwen Hodge ([email protected]).
Now more than ever, it is important for legislators, business leaders and community advocates to partner in solutions development. Our virtual meeting will be a time and space to collaborate, debate policy and get prepared for the campaign and legislative session ahead.
ALEC members continue to bring the best ideas forward in the states. Thank you for your dedication to ALEC and to one another. Our network is strong and our policies have and will continue to advance individual liberty and free enterprise across our country.

Registration Process and Payment Methods
Conference registration for the Annual Meeting will not be confirmed until the registration process has been completed and the payment has been received and processed.
In accordance with our policies, we review all registrations. This review policy ensures registrants have selected the most appropriate registration option. You will receive notification of registration status within three (3) business days. Your payment will not be processed until your registration is accepted. Payment amount may be adjusted to reflect the correct registration type and fees associated.
The American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC) cannot be responsible for your spam filters blocking your confirmation email. Please check for a confirmation email before committing to travel arrangements.
Cancellation / Refund Policy
Please note, in the event that your plans change due to COVID-19, we will refund any fees. Please contact Gwen Hodge to cancel. In the event that it is necessary to change the status of this year’s annual meeting, we will immediately notify all registered attendees and refund any fees.
Cancelling for any other reason than above will follow the below policy:
Registrations cancelled prior to 11:59 PM EST June 17, 2020 are subject to a $100 cancellation fee. Registrations are non-refundable after 11:59 PM EST June 17, 2020.
Exhibit Booths cancelled prior to 11:59 PM EST June 17, 2020 are subject to a cancellation fee of 50% of the rate paid. Registrations are non-refundable after 11:59 PM EST June 17, 2020.
To cancel, go to the registration site and click Already Registered? Enter the email used to register and the confirmation number found on the confirmation email. Then click the UNREGISTER button at the top of the page. Follow the instructions to confirm the cancellation.
A refund will automatically be issued based on the policy above. Please allow 2-7 business days to process depending on the respective bank.
Please contact Gwen Hodge with any questions on refunds or substituting your registration. Registration substitutions will not be allowed once the attendee has checked in to the event.

ALEC is a forum for stakeholders to exchange ideas and develop real, state-based solutions to encourage growth, preserve economic security and protect hardworking taxpayers.
