We look forward to hosting the 46th ALEC Annual Meeting in the capital city of Texas! Austin, known for its vibrant entertainment and culture, inspiring cuisine and stunning outdoor settings, lets you create a soundtrack all your own.

Important Dates 

Early-bird registration will open March 27, 2019 and rates will end on July 3, 2019.

Standard registration rates will begin July 4, 2019 and end July 17, 2019.

The group rate for the host hotel ends July 17, 2019.

(Rooms are available on a first-come, first-served basis until sold out.)

On-site registration rates will begin on July 18, 2019.

Online registration closes August 11, 2019*.

*After August 11, 2019, registration will be on-site during registration hours (see agenda).

Policies

Guest / Spouse Registration

Guest / Spouse registration is meant to accommodate legal spouses and immediate family members ONLY. No exceptions will be made. Guest / Spouse designation will be clearly visible on name badge.

Registration Process and Payment Methods

Conference registration for the Annual Meeting will not be confirmed until the registration process has been completed and the payment has been received and processed.

In accordance with our policies, we review all registrations. This review policy ensures registrants have selected the most appropriate registration option. You will receive notification of registration status within three (3) business days. Your payment will not be processed until your registration is accepted. Payment amount may be adjusted to reflect the correct registration type and fees associated.

The American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC) cannot be responsible for your spam filters blocking your confirmation email. Please check for a confirmation email before committing to travel arrangements. 

Accommodation costs are not included in the conference registration fee. Attendees are responsible for making their own travel and lodging arrangements. Click here to make a room reservation at the JW Marriott Austin. The ALEC group rate is $199/night. The group rate ends Wednesday, July 17, 2019. Rooms are available on a first-come, first-served basis until sold out.

Members securing a reservation at the host hotel, may receive a $50 discount towards their registration. ALEC has contracted a rate of $199 per night at the JW Marriott in Austin. Please use this link to make your reservation. All discounts will be applied at the conclusion of the conference, once your reservation has been verified with the hotel. We are excited to offer this great benefit and hope to see you in Austin this August!

Cancellation / Refund Policy

Registrations cancelled prior to 11:59 PM EST July 17, 2019 are subject to a $100 cancellation fee. Registrations are non-refundable after 11:59 PM EST July 17, 2019.

Exhibit Booths cancelled prior to 11:59 PM EST July 17, 2019 are subject to a cancellation fee of 50% of the rate paid. Registrations are non-refundable after 11:59 PM EST July 17, 2019.

To cancel, go to the registration site and click Already Registered? Enter the email used to register and the confirmation number found on the confirmation email. Then click the UNREGISTER button at the top of the page. Follow the instructions to confirm the cancellation.

A refund will automatically be issued based on the policy above. Please allow 2-7 business days to process depending on the respective bank.

Please contact Gwen Hodge with any questions on refunds or substituting your registration. Registration substitutions will not be allowed once the attendee has checked in to the event.

Personal Property

ALEC accepts no responsibility for loss or damage to personal property at the 2019 Annual Meeting.

Civility Policy

ALEC is a forum for stakeholders to exchange ideas and develop real, state-based solutions to encourage growth, preserve economic security and protect hardworking taxpayers. ALEC members understand the importance of hearing from all sides of an issue and value public-private partnership in policy discussions. In order to foster an environment where all sides can be heard, you must speak in a civil manner when presenting at or attending ALEC meetings and not disparage members and organizations that belong to ALEC.

By completing the registration, you understand that you may be photographed, taped or recorded. You grant permission for the American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC) to use your image or voice in all forms and media as permitted by law. You waive the right to inspect or approve versions of your image or voice or the written copy that may be used in connection with either.
