Registration for the 2019 States & Nation Policy Summit will open on September 3, 2019!

We look forward to hosting the 2019 States & Nation Policy Summit in Scottsdale, AZ! Scottsdale is a year-round travel destination. With over 200 golf courses and 800 restaurants, Scottsdale is sure to keep you occupied. From horseback riding and off-road Sonoran Desert tours to hiking and hot air ballooning, come experience Arizona like a local!

December 4 – 6, ALEC members and friends will gather for three days of discussion on the critical issues facing the states and nation. The States and Nation Policy Summit attracts hundreds of state legislators, including new members and recently elected officials, and is specifically designed to introduce new members to ALEC. At issue seminars, meal sessions and Task Force meetings, state legislators share their knowledge and experiences with each other, and hear from national leaders and renowned policy experts who share their commitment to Jeffersonian policies.

Important Dates

Early-bird registration will open September 3, 2019 and rates will end on November 6, 2019. 

Housing block will close on November 6, 2019 (Rooms are available on a first-come, first-served basis until sold out).

On-site registration rates will begin on November 7, 2019.

Online registration closes December 1, 2019.*

*After December 1, 2019, registration will be on-site during registration hours.

Policies

Guest / Spouse Registration

Guest / Spouse registration is meant to accommodate legal spouses and immediate family members ONLY. No exceptions will be made. Guest / Spouse designation will be clearly visible on name badge.

Registration Process and Payment Methods

Conference registration for the meeting will not be confirmed until the registration process has been completed and the payment has been received and processed.

In accordance with our policies, we review all registrations. This review policy ensures registrants have selected the most appropriate registration option. You will receive notification of registration status within three (3) business days. Your payment will not be processed until your registration is accepted. Payment amount may be adjusted to reflect the correct registration type and fees associated.

The American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC) cannot be responsible for your spam filters blocking your confirmation email. Please check for a confirmation email before committing to travel arrangements. 

Travel and accommodation costs are not included in the conference registration fee. Attendees are responsible for making their own travel and lodging arrangements. The ALEC group rate is $219/night (plus tax and fees). Click here to make a reservation. The group rate ends Wednesday, November 6, 2019. Rooms are available on a first-come, first-served basis until sold out.

Cancellation / Refund Policy

Registrations cancelled prior to 11:59 PM EST November 6, 2019 are subject to a $100 cancellation fee. Registrations are non-refundable after 11:59 PM EST November 6, 2019.

Exhibit Booths cancelled prior to 11:59 PM EST November 6, 2019 are subject to a cancellation fee of 50% of the rate paid. Registrations are non-refundable after 11:59 PM EST November 6, 2019.

To cancel, go to the registration site and click Already Registered? Enter the email used to register and the confirmation number found on the confirmation email. Then click the UNREGISTER button at the top of the page. Follow the instructions to confirm the cancellation.

A refund will automatically be issued based on the policy above. Please allow 2-7 business days to process depending on the respective bank.

Please contact Gwen Hodge with any questions on payment credits or substituting your registration. Registration substitutions will not be allowed once the attendee has checked in to the event. Registrations cannot be shared.

Civility Policy

ALEC is a forum for stakeholders to exchange ideas and develop real, state-based solutions to encourage growth, preserve economic security and protect hardworking taxpayers. ALEC members understand the importance of hearing from all sides of an issue and value public-private partnership in policy discussions. In order to foster an environment where all sides can be heard, you must speak in a civil manner when presenting at ALEC meetings and not disparage members and organizations that belong to ALEC.
