Workshop – How A State Drafted and Ratified the Balanced Budget Amendment

Description

Friday Morning  |  11:00 AM – 12:00 PM  | How Can a State that Drafted Balanced Budget Amendment Save the American Dream?

Join us for a panel discussion on Article V of the U.S. Constitution and how this powerful constitutional tool can be used by the states to propose a balanced budget amendment to the U.S. Constitution. Constitutional expert, David Guldenschuh, will explain how the Founders anticipated future generations would use Article V as a check on federal power, economist Bill Fruth will describe the process of proposing a balanced budget amendment to the Constitution and Admiral William Owens, former Vice Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, will underscore that peace through strength is only possible when the nation is financially strong. We look forward to a spirited and consequential discussion.
