Workshop: Freedom of Association in the Age of Intimidation

Rights to speak and associate are at risk across the country. As protestors are being encouraged to harass and intimidate people just because of where they work; and as reports come in of physical assaults on private citizens who are simply expressing their own speech, legislation is popping up in state legislatures and before city and county governments that would further empower intimidators and arm government officials with the tools to quash speech. Join in the discussion and learn about efforts through ballot initiatives, state legislation and local ordinances that will give the government access to your private speech and donation decisions—and potentially expose you and your constituents to intimidation, harassment and even violence.
