Senator Michael Hough Awarded at CPAC

On March 5 at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC), Maryland Senator Michael Hough, former ALEC State Chair for Maryland and current ALEC member, was honored with the American Conservative Union’s (ACU) Award for Conservative Excellence.

Asked about the award, Senator Hough expressed tremendous gratitude:

It’s an honor to be recognized for my record of fighting for limited government and conservative principles in Maryland. My experience with ALEC has helped me to prepare me to fight for free markets and federalism on the floor of the Maryland Senate.

The ACU ranks legislators within each state on their work defending the U.S. Constitution and the principles of a free society: Life, Liberty and Property. The ACU gives out annual awards for state legislators’ achievements and contributions to the cause of freedom. With a consistently high-performance in the Maryland Legislature, Senator Hough is the only Maryland Senator to receive the Award for Conservative Excellence. By putting the values that made this nation great above partisan politics, Senator Hough has demonstrated what it means to be a truly principled conservative leader.
