ALEC Legislators: States Don’t Need a Federal Bailout
State leaders join virtual press conference in opposition of a bailout in next stimulus package
A virtual press conference held yesterday by the Save Our Country Coalition (SOCC) in opposition of increased state bailout funding in the next COVID-19 stimulus package was featured on Fox Business. Event speakers included ALEC members Missouri State Rep. Justin Hill and Utah Sen. Stuart Adams, Indiana Sen. Mike Braun, Florida Sen. Rick Scott, Dr. Arthur B. Laffer, Steve Moore, FreedomWorks President Adam Brandon, and Tea Party Patriots co-founder Jenny Beth Martin.
SOCC aims to educate and inform elected officials and policymakers at all levels of government in an effort to bring about a quick, safe and responsible reopening of US society. Since the first stimulus package, hundreds of state legislators who pass balanced budgets every year have come out against a federal bailout of the states.
