Rep. Joe Harrison Awarded Legislator of the Year by the American Legislative Exchange Council

Dallas, Texas (July 31, 2014)—Representative Joe Harrison of Louisiana received the Legislator of the Year Award today from the American Legislative Exchange Council at the organization’s 41st Annual Meeting in Dallas, Texas. ALEC members are recognized with this award for exemplifying stellar leadership paired with fundamental Jeffersonian principles.

“It is an honor to be recognized by my peers as Legislator of the Year,” Rep. Harrison said. “I’ll continue to represent Louisiana to the best of my abilities and uphold these values while working with my fellow members of the legislature to meet the needs of our citizens.”

Elected to the Louisiana House of Representatives in 2007, Rep. Harrison is currently a member of the Acadiana Delegation, the Louisiana Republican Legislative Delegation and the Louisiana Rural Caucus. In addition to sitting on the ALEC Board of Directors, Rep. Harrison is an active member of the ALEC Task Force on Education.
