Director of Communications and Technology
The American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC), the nation’s largest nonpartisan, individual membership association of state legislators, is seeking to hire a policy director to run and manage the Communications and Technology Legislative Task Force. Candidates should have a minimum of two years of related Task Force policy/legislative experience; a strong background of working with state legislators and state policy issues is preferred. Qualified candidates should also have excellent organizational, research and communication skills, including the ability to clearly express ideas verbally and written. Must be good at coalition building and policy development. Previous media experience is helpful but not necessary. Candidates must demonstrate a strong commitment to Telecom and IT issues and the ALEC mission of promoting the principles of limited government, free markets and federalism.
Educational Requirements: Bachelors Degree
