ALEC to Host Spring Task Force Summit  

St. Louis, MO, April 23 – 24, 2010

 

(Washington, D.C.)—The American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC), the nation’s largest individual membership association representing state legislators and the private sector, will hold its annual Spring Task Force Summit at the Hilton at the Ballpark Hotel in St. Louis, MO, on April 23-24, 2010. Registration is now OPEN!

 

Legislators and private sector members serving on the following Task Forces will meet for intensive discussions on the critical issues facing the states and to debate and approve model legislation and solutions:

 

• Commerce, Insurance, and Economic Development
• Health and Human Services
• Natural Resources 
• Tax and Fiscal Policy 
• Telecommunications and Information Technology

 

The following Task Forces will not meet in St. Louis but will instead meet by electronic means. The details of these electronic meetings will be updated on each Task Force’s Web page:

 

• Civil Justice 
• Education 
• Public Safety and Elections

 

All Task Force members are encouraged to check the ALEC Web site and their Task Force pages online in the coming weeks for full details, registration, and meeting information.

 

The joint ALEC Board of Directors will also hold a meeting April 23 at the Hilton Ballpark Hotel in St. Louis, MO.
